Tarian Palmer was born and raised in Western Massachusetts and has been drawing as long as she can remember, mostly animals and mythical creatures throughout her childhood and later getting interested in human characters and the stories around them.

She graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2020 with a degree in illustration where she learned new skills while honing the basics of drawing and creating. A couple months before graduating the 2020 pandemic hit and set graduation plans and her momentum off course, as it became best to stay at home and help take care of family for quite some time.

Character and creature illustration and design are at the core of what Tarian loves to do most, but she is always trying to improve and be the best well-rounded artist she can be. Although now that she is gone from school it can be hard for her to know what art directions to pursue sometimes. She has pieces in ink, acrylic paint, but has been working to specialize more in digital. She has love for the whole range of styles and media. She enjoys designing for children’s media, as well as for games and stories for older or adult demographics.

Since graduation, and throughout navigating the pandemic she has been
freelancing and practicing what she wants to do more of in the future. Tarian recently moved out to New Jersey US to start a new adventure, explore the industry and see what opportunities are out there for her.
